Borrowed from the Boys: Rag & Bone's Better Halves

Rag & Bone managing partners Marcus Wainwright and David Neville revealed their latest menswear collection on their beautiful better halves.

Rag & Bone managing partners Marcus Wainwright and David Neville revealed their latest menswear collection last night, "inspired by the unstudied signature styles of the likes of Jackson Pollack and Richard Avedon," as Wainwright explains. "The clothing may be languid but the construction is not. There is a lot of lightweight paper cotton, but we've also incorporated experimental fabrications. One of my favorite pieces is a coat comprised of sailing cloth and laced with fiberglass. It's awesome," he continues. In an artful alternative to a classic presentation or runway show, the line was shown in a portrait series exhibit featuring friends of the brand Jerry Seinfeld, Glen Luchford, Sean Cunningham and more. "The individuals in the series are just people we really like. They all have a confidence and point of view in how they represent themselves in their style." Neville says, "They're diverse but that's the point—it illustrates that anyone can wear rag & bone and look cool." Hats off to the boys and all that, but there's no denying how chic a beautiful woman can look in menswear. In the spirit of that, the two British gentleman opted to showcase their own betrothed in the gallery, Gucci Westman and Glenna Neece. "Our wives are big part of the brand," Wainwright says, "if I hadn't met my wife (Glenna Neece) on a beach in Mexico, I wouldn't have ended up in New York and started rag & bone—and they both happen to look amazing in our menswear."
