Problem: The sun left your skin leathery, burned and peeling.

Solution: We'll skip the lecture on sun protection, but seriously, what were you thinking? After treating the burn with aloe and letting it heal, exfoliate from head to toe to get rid of dull, rough patches. Then swap out your body and face lotions for rich creams to start locking in moisture.

Problem: You have brown sun spots and discoloration.

Solution: For an over-the-counter solution, dermatologist Amy Wechsler recommends the Chanel Le Blanc TXC line—it brightens and reduces hyperpigmentation. "If you have more severe discoloration, you may want to talk to your dermatologist about Fraxel, a laser that can help smooth skin and eliminate sun spots and wrinkles," she says.

Problem: Sweat has caused your skin to breakout.

Solution: Try a clarifying body wash (we love The Body Shop Tea Tree Body Wash) and switch to a face wash with salicylic or benzoyl peroxide until your skin clears up. Note: If you use products that contain retinol at night, you're going to want to use a gentler face wash in the evenings and save the acne-fighting for the AM.

Problem: Salt and sand has made your skin dry and tight.

Solution: "Rehydrate your skin with an at-home treatment. My personal favorite is a moisturizing honey mask, as the honey acts as a natural humectant, minimizes the appearance of fine lines, and offers a more youthful-looking face. Simply mix two tablespoons of honey with two teaspoons of whole milk. Warm slightly in the microwave and then smooth the mixture onto your face and relax for 10 minutes," says Dr. Wechsler.
