Update, 9/18: In an interview with Today yesterday, Sarah Jessica Parker opened up about the possibility of Sex and the City 3—and fans of the show won't be happy. "It remains a not-often-had conversation," she told Matt Lauer. "I know—and [writer-director] Michael Patrick [King] knows well—the story we might tell, if we ever tell it. But the real truth, and I'm not being cagey, is we've not discussed a when." Watch the interview here.

Update, 5/12: With rumors of another Sex and The City sequel movie swirling for months now, Sarah Jessica Parker's latest Instagram seems to confirm the news that a third installment may in fact be on the way. The actress shared a photo of herself leaving Bloomingdale's (one of Carrie Bradshaw's go-to New York stores) with the caption, "Well. I guess the cat's out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able. I'm under strict gag order until then."

Back in February, Kristin Davis also hinted at another SATC movie while talking to Perez Hilton, "Every once and while something comes over us. I can't explain it. We get nostalgic. We start tweeting each other crazy things and then all of a sudden people are talking about it and we're like, 'Uh-oh.'"

Looks like it's finally time for Carrie Bradshaw to dust off her Manolos.

Update, 11/24: Kim Cattrall has finally shared her thoughts on rumors surrounding Sex and the City 3: "I take these rumours as terrific compliments but I don't believe they are more than wishful thinking. In all the cases in the previous of two films there was long periods of rumours and speculation and then they happened," the actress told Grazia. "'I think it would be a really wonderful reunion. All four of us are so busy and doing our own projects, having children...but when we do get together it feels like no time has passed and we've always had that great chemistry."

Update, 11/14: Just when we thought another film was official, Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King reveals that the show may return on TV instead: "The mere fact that it is still so alive, and not just on the gym TV's...but that people are still wondering about these girls, you never know. It could come back at some point. All bets are off." King hints this could be formatted specifically for HBO Go in order to appeal to the binge-watching generation. Read the full interview at E!

Update, 10/14: Another day, another hint, courtesy of SJP. The actress returned to Carrie Bradshaw's apartment with the Carrie show, this time for a video capturing the hustle of NYC.

Update, 10/8: SJP continues to tease SATC fans; yesterday, she Instagrammed a photo of herself sitting on what appears to be Carrie Bradshaw's iconic stoop, lining up a few pairs of the "Carrie" shoe from her Nordstrom collection alongside her. "It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie," the caption reads. Hm...

Update, 10/6: Following Jennifer Hudson's announcement on Friday that Sex and the City 3 is in talks, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis engaged in a little Twitter tête-à-tête:

When a fan pressed Parker to elaborate, she offered a cryptic response, most likely referencing Hudson's statement:

We'll take it that SATC: 3 is a go.

Original Post, 10/3: Sex and the City fans can breathe a sigh of relief—it looks like a third film in the series is on its way. Jennifer Hudson, who played Carrie Bradshaw's assistant in the first film, confirmed yesterday that a third film is under consideration: "I think it might be," she told . "Somebody just came to me talking about that, so if it's in the talks, it might happen. So look out for your girl Louise from St. Louis."

Hudson's news is the latest to come out of the Sex and the City 3 camp, after producer Michael Patrick King told Entertainment Weekly they had "one story left" in February. Just days later, Sarah Jessica Parker told BAZAAR, "Michael and I know what that story would be, but when and if it's ever told, there has been no concrete discussion about it ever." It looks like a lot has changed over the past few months, and we'll be bringing you up-to-the-minute news as it breaks.
