Meet Scott Michael Foster. Or as you'll soon come to know him, Kristoff. Later this month, he'll bring the swoon-worthy Frozen hero to life in a Jetsons Meet the Flintstones-type integration of the Disney sensation's lead characters into ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Foster has a knack for playing the dopey, pure-hearted dreamboat. Anyone who's seen ABC's Greek (RIP), has fallen in love with the show—and Foster—in large part thanks to his heartthrob fraternity brother, Cappie. (Anyone who hasn't seen Greek direly needs to rejigger their TV lineup.)

Foster graduated from his college frat role days three years back and has recently reemerged almost unrecognizable in parts like Hunt Whitmarsh on AMC's Halt and Catch Fire and the bad-boy son of a politician on Chasing Life. But, equal parts earnest and hilarious, Foster's got a little bit of Cappie left in him. For one thing, he likes to bro out with his neighbors—so much so that it became the premise of his webseries, Neighbros, directed by Foster's ex-girlfriend, Laura Prepon. We talked to Foster, our #ManCrushMonday, about beer pong, milking goats, and his own big, ol' man crush.

Later this month, you're joining the Once Upon A Time cast as the Frozen character Kristoff. How are you getting into character?

I've been taking a lot of ice baths. I've been working on my ice-cutting abilities. And I've been hanging around with large boulders.

Are you a romantic like Kristoff?

Oh my god, yeah. When I was growing up my favorite movie was Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve, which is a hugely romantic, sappy movie. I couldn't understand it when the guy didn't get the girl or the girl didn't get the guy in love stories. I was definitely a sap.

You grew up on a farm outside of Chicago. What was that like?

It was fun! It was a small farm in a little rural town by the Indiana state border. I lived there from ages 5 to 12, I would say, before we we moved to Dallas. We had chickens and a vegetable garden, and I had to get up to milk the goats at seven in the morning or do it at seven at night. Me and my sisters did rotations. So you get to know the goats, you get to know the chickens—it was quite the little Charlotte's Web.

Any animal friendships now?

I've got two little dogs, a little Chihuahua-Pomeranian I've had for about eight years—his name is Oliver—and a miniature German Schnauzer I've had for about seven years. They're like little brothers. I miss them right now. I had to send them to a parent's house in Texas while I'm shooting; I'm staying in a hotel, and I don't know if I can bring dogs there.

What do you watch on TV?

I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan. I'm really into the Colbert Report and Last Week Tonight. And I really like to get on Netflix and watch like TV documentaries about: What happened to the mastodon? Or who was Jack the Ripper?

You must dominate trivia night.

Oh, I have so many ridiculous facts.

When you're not acting, you're also a guitarist and a certified scuba diver. Any other hidden ones?

Oh, gosh. About March of last year, I decided I wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle, so I took classes here in LA. I bought a bike, and I've been riding for like a year and a half, and I love it. But when I got on Chasing Life, which is the show I'm on, on ABC—

—Yeah, your character does some crazy bike stunts in that. Are those real?!

Yeah, that's not me. It's not me at all. Ever. And I asked them, I was like, "I learned how to ride a bike. Not for this specifically, but…" They wouldn't even let me sit on it.

Rude!

I know. I was like, "Tom Cruise does all his stupid stunts!"

So next up, you'll be playing a scuba-diving-slash-guitar-playing-slash-motorcycling character, right?

If the role doesn't exist, I should just create one, right? I'll start storyboarding right now.

What is the coolest thing you've seen while diving?

The craziest thing I've seen is in Catalina. There was a bat ray just circling my head about 40 feet above me. It looked like it was circling me like a vulture in the desert, which was pretty crazy. Also, Southern California is one of the only places that have these giant kelp forests, and it's like swimming through a forest. If you ever get a chance to learn how to scuba dive, go do it.

Who's your celebrity crush?

Scarlett Johansson is just killing it right now.

And your man crush?

Hmm my ManCrushMonday? My manager is pointing at himself. You know what? I've got to say Chris Pratt. He's funny and can play the action hero. He did a great job in Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's inspiring what a transformation he's made from where he was in Parks and Recreation to looking like a CrossFit guy now. I'm on the big Chris Pratt wagon right now.

Naturally I'm curious to hear about Greek, in which your character, Cappie, was the quintessential frat bro. Were you ever inclined to join a frat?

Nah, I only went to college for one semester, community college outside of Dallas. I got to the end of that and said "I'm not doing this anymore" and moved to LA and landed a job.

What's your favorite drinking game?

We all kind of mastered beer pong. That was the game of choice for the Kappa Taus, so we got pretty good.

And your drink of choice?

I'm a pretty simple man. If there is a specialty cocktail I enjoy, it's the Moscow mule. Or any spicy tequila drinks, anything jalapeno.

When was the last time you filmed an episode of your webseries, Neighbros?

Wow, I think it's been a year and a half. Laura and I were together at the time, and my actual neighbor, Jaime Jorn, and I, we lived in an apartment complex, and we would meet up in the middle of the driveway and have these really funny conversations, which is what it was all based on. We went all the way to writing a script and selling it to Comedy Central. It didn't really go anywhere after that, but it was kind of cool for us, that this idea that started in our driveway was going farther than we ever thought.

Who are your best bros?

I've got a lot of close bros. I still keep in touch with a lot of people from Greek. I actually just hung out with a few of them this past weekend. And one of the guys I met through Jaime J was in Neighbros with me. If you watch the opening in Neighbros, the guy who's singing the theme song and playing the guitar? His name is Jack Arnett. He's in a band here in LA, so I'll frequently go see him perform.

Whom were you closest with on Greek?

I've got to say Jake McDorman because we ended up moving very close to each other.

Another neighbro!

Yeah, he's my current neighbro. We talked about putting in a zip-line from his house to my house. And we all still see each other: I went to a Dodgers game with Paul James, who played Calvin, on Friday; I hung out with Jacob Zachar (Rusty) two nights ago; I saw Amber Stevens at a party.

What's on your iPod?

There's a band I'm really into right now called the Mystery Jets, and they have a song called Young Love, featuring some girl named Laura Marling, and I've been listening to that over and over.

What's your favorite place in the world?

Well, I've never left North America, so I'm hoping to expand my horizons pretty soon. My first Eurotrip, I want to fly into London and take a train to all the traditional must-see cities. Then next trip I'll get more specific or maybe go to Asia.
