We're always on board for a bit of contrast in fashion. Take, for instance, Acne Studio's signature Mape leather jacket, one worth collecting in its many iterations, which underwent an ultra-feminine makeover thanks to a collaboration with Liberty prints. Acne's Jonny Johansson explains, "I'm obsessed with digging in archives and morphing elements of design history with our universe. I have a personal and long history with Liberty prints, having used them as a source of inspiration in my early years as a designer. When we started exploring Liberty's extensive heritage for this project, it almost felt like an overwhelming voyage…" It appears it all worked out famously, as this has "collector's edition" written all over it for legions of fans of the Swede powerhouse.
The collection hits Acne stores and online March 5.
