What do you look for in a great photo?
Emotion. Any kind really. Whatever the subject. A mountain or a lady. Happiness, sadness, sexuality or surprise. Who wants to look at a photo that's devoid of some sort of emotion?

What's the most flattering pose?
It really does depend on the girl or guy and what they're wearing. For women, I usually try and get a straight-on shot head to toe and I may ask that she cross one foot in front of the other depending on her outfit.

Group shot or single shot?
Group shots of 3 people or less is most desirable, both posed and chatting. Leave it up to the photographer to pull you out for a solo.
What light should you try to stand in?
Anything that's not making you squint is fine enough. The photographer should know where to put you. Taking a little direction can pay off.

Most flattering silhouettes? Most unflattering?
I think like most men, I am attracted to curves. Accentuate your hips, your bust (without being vulgar), your calves, your butt or even the small of your back and neck. Choose one aspect of your body and show it off tastefully, subtly.

Smile or vamp?
Both are appropriate...but should reflect the mood you are in. Like I said before, it's about emotion. If you're feeling happy: smile. Feeling sexy: vamp. Don't fake it. If your dog just died, don't go to the party.
